PROMOTION SERIVICES AT MY KINDERGARTEN
Introduction
Welcome to PROMOTION REGISTRATION TADIKA UMMI HAJAH. This
kindergarten provides opportunities for children to
develop reading, numeric and problem solving skills, to
express themselves creatively, and to develop self reliance.
The program attempts to help children develop a positive view of themselves and a
comfortable relationship with others. Our vision is to
provide learning experiences that are developmentally
appropriate in order to meet the diverse needs of
children and promote a positive attitude toward
lifelong learning.
In our Kindergarten your child will learn to:
Respect and care for one another, Cooperate, Problem Solve
Observe, Talk, Listen, Share, Sing, Paint, Create Play, Count, Read, Write, Lead, Exc
What do you need to register?
The following information will be required to complete
the
“Kindergarten Registration Package” for the preschool registration:
• proof of age - birth certificate, registration;
• immunization records;
• present health conditions - any allergies or health concerns;
• name of medication(s) your child is taking;
• your child’s Health Card Number;
• child care information (if applicable)
• emergency and other contact information;
What are some things my child will be
learning…?
English/Language Arts
Your child will develop foundational skills that will
prepare him or her for later learning in language arts.
Phonemic awareness is the ability to understand that
a word is made up of a sequence of speech sounds
paired with the ability to manipulate those sounds. It
is the most essential element of language arts
instruction in Kindergarten. Your child will learn the
letters of the alphabet and will match letters with
their associated sounds. They will learn to write
letters, words, and beginning stories. The English/Language Arts curriculum addresses the following:
• Word analysis, fluency, and vocabulary developmentel Develop Individual Potential
• Reading comprehension
• Literary response
• Writing and oral language
• Listening and speaking
• Speaking applications
Mathematics
Your child will understand small numbers, quantities,
and simple shapes in his or her everyday environment.
Students will count, compare, describe, and sort
objects and develop a sense of properties and
patterns. The Mathematics curriculum addresses the
following:
• Counting forward and backward
• Counting objects
• Writing and recognizing numbers
• Comparing, sorting and classifying numbers and objects
• Measuring units such as clocks, temperatures,calendars and coins
• Identifying and describing shapes
• Identifying, describing, and copying a pattern
• Creating and solving math stories or problems
Nature and Science
Your child begin to learn all about the world around
him through interesting objects and activities.. To
understand this concept and to address the content in
the three strands;
• Life science
• Earth science
• Physical science

• Attributes of good citizenship
• Geography and economics of the school and its surroundings
• Awareness of the past
Field Trips
Field trips supplement and enrich classroom learning,
encourage new interests, make children more aware of
community resources and help them relate school
experiences to the outside world.
Important points about attendance and health
Regular attendance and punctuality play key roles in
the success a student achieves in school. Please
attempt to schedule vacations and family outings and
doctor, dental, or other appointments outside of the
school day. If your child is ill, please keep him or her
home from school. Be alert to such symptoms as upset
stomach, runny nose, fever, or sore throat. Be careful
not to send your child back to school too soon after an
illness but you have to call to the school’s office to
report his/her absent.
